When and Where to go in Africa

Attempting to plan your first safari? Whew! Africa is a huge continent. This could be a daunting task: you likely have friends and family who have been to Africa giving endless advice. You could try your luck on the internet where you’ll find plenty of offers, but the information is a bit… overwhelming. Please don’t worry, we’re here to help! A Tett Safaris custom itinerary is planned and tailored just for you: your preferred travel dates, the suitability to all the guests traveling with you, and which wildlife and adventure experiences you’d like to have. We give it all careful consideration as we plan your perfect African itinerary. At Tett Safaris we know that a safari is not a small investment - of your time or money. We make sure that every detail is just right. For you.

Each safari experience we plan is heavily dependent on the information we gather from you. Planning a safari in December? There are certain national parks that are better to visit then were you to travel in the June-August timeframe. Looking for rates that are a little lower? We’ll help plan the itinerary to take advantage of lower seasonal or long stay rates that ensure you stay within your budget and yet does not compromise the authentic Africa you will experience!  Looking forward to a totally sun-filled adventure? We know the seasonal weather patterns. And of course, we help you design the best possible game viewing experience, whatever season you choose to travel.

Here is an example of some of the questions we will discuss with you when planning your safari. This is important information since these are all considerations which will ultimately affect the perfect itinerary we craft for you:

  • How many guests are in your party and what are the ages?

  • Have you been to Africa before? If so, where? What did you like or dislike about that trip?

  • How much time do you have for your safari?

  • Are there particular travel dates you have in mind?

  • Do you have any medical considerations? Mobility limitations? Need a sleep apnea machine?

  • Are you a photographer and can we help book you a private game viewing vehicle and specialist photographic guide?

  • Are you an avid birder?

  • Do you have particular animals that you must see?

  • When you travel, can you describe your accommodation types you generally prefer? For example, are you generally a Marriott or Four Seasons traveler?

  • Would you like to travel exclusively in your own aircraft and fly privately throughout your safari? Reserve your own game viewing vehicle?

  • Do you have preferred budget?

There is a lot to consider when planning a safari. We’re here to help you narrow down the options and craft the perfect safari just for you. So, just give us the list and we will make sure you hit every item on it. That’s what we do.
