Your international flight may route you into Entebbe, which lies on the sandy shores of Lake Victoria. This laid-back city is the perfect place to relax and lay over one night before you set out for your Ugandan safari filled with unusual wildlife such as tree-climbing lions, chimpanzees, gorillas, hippos, and a wide assortment of rare birds.

DESTINATION
Murchison Falls, Uganda
Feel the power of the Nile in your chest! The furious water funnels through a small 21-foot gap and then explodes through a fissure for another spectacular drop. Below this, the river is frothing white. A boat cruise brings you to witness this spectacle, albeit a bit downriver, where you’ll spy huge crocodiles, pods of hippos, elephants drinking and bathing, and if you’re lucky, a rare shoebill stork.

Just upriver from Baker's Lodge, the mighty Nile tumbles in a thunderous torrent over Murchison Falls. With hippos, crocs, and the rare wetland shoebill, plus game drives in the National Park, and nearby chimpanzee trekking, this Ugandan safari lodge will enthrall you.

Kibale National Park, Uganda
Kibale may be your one chance to glimpse chimpanzees in the wild. This lowland, tropical safari is dedicated to following along with the constantly moving troops of chimps, where you will witness up close their tender, and at times comical behavior! During your trek, your guide may also point out rarely spotted duiker and shy bushbuck.

This chalet-style lodge lies at the foot of the Ruwenzori Mountains, on the edge of a crater lake, whose shape is imitated by the swimming pool. Apart from the incredible views, a highlight is chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest.
