Planning Your African Safari At Your Holiday Table!

What a family memory: celebrating a holiday by discussing a thrilling trip to Africa with the entire clan. Take advantage of the fact that your family is finally all in the same room. We know planning a trip with lots of people isn’t easy, so let us do it for you! Custom safaris are perfect for family groups: there is something for everyone.

Share travel plans and ideas at the holiday table

Keep the conversation from drifting into those dreaded controversial topics by using your time around the holiday table to lay the groundwork for a family safari. Get a sense of everyone’s schedule, and then discuss expectations for the trip: how long would everyone like to be away, are there places they’ve heard of that they want to explore, what are things they’ve dreamed of seeing in Africa? The summer months are a peak travel time in Africa, and space in Tett Safaris recommended camps are limited, but November and December is a great time to have these conversations before space becomes difficult to secure for the following year.

Entrust your safari plans to an expert

Once you have an understanding of what your group wants, call us at Tett Safaris. We have been to Africa and we are highly skilled at matching preferences with camps and activities. We will work with your family’s Must-See/Must-Do list, and we can work within your budget. After an initial conversation, we supply you with an itinerary, so you can communicate the plans clearly across all branches of your family. We can’t wait to help you plan this trip!

Sit Back and Let Us Handle the Details

Once your family African safari is booked and your spaces are reserved, we will provide you with a detailed list of everything you need to know and to pack for your safari. Behind the scenes, we will make sure that all of your ground and air transfers between camps are arranged, and that the camps are ready to welcome you and make special accommodations as needed. We will also help you fine-tune your activity choices. Your time in camps is very flexible: some members of the group can go on a game drive, while others rest, or enjoy activities like boating and walks, where available. In the evenings, everyone can gather to share tales of each day’s wildlife sightings.

Our Top Safari for Families

Kenya’s Private Reserves and Southern Africa’s Best Private Reserves are both favorites among our families heading out on their African safaris and, as with all of our custom programs, we can work within your timeframe. Modifications can be made to camp selections in order to suit your budget. We have guides that specialize in capturing the attention of kids and teens, and our preferred camps have reliable sightings of lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo (Africa’s Big Five).

Have a look, discuss it with your family, and call Tett Safaris to get started making your Africa dream a reality.

There’s still time to request a brochure to bring to your next holiday family gathering!
