Damaraland

Damaraland transitions between arid environments of semi-desert, savanna, shrubland, and rock outcrops, yet the Haub River offers the local wildlife a plentiful water-source; kudu, springbok, and oryx all come to drink, which brings in the mightier game such as desert-adapted rhino and elephants, and lion and cheetah. Bushman artwork can be found here, which attests to man and animal coexisting in this area for quite some time.
