This coastal, holiday town is aptly called “Little Bavaria,” as German colonial architecture abounds in Swakopmund. It is also the adventure capital of Namibia, with the option to dune board, camel ride, sky dive, quad bike, and 4x4 dune surf. For the quieter traveler, there are captivating desert and marine tours.
